About

Born in Barbados and raised in America, Saadia’s creative vision is shaped by a diverse tapestry of cultures and histories. With family ties to Guyana and South Africa and travels that have taken her across Tunisia and Egypt, she has been deeply influenced by the art, landscapes, and traditions of these places. Moving between countries in her youth, she often felt like both an insider and an outsider—fitting in everywhere and nowhere at once. This fluid sense of identity fostered a deep connection to creativity across time and place.
Saadia began making jewelry in 2004, meticulously handcrafting each piece from her Florida home. Many of her designs are one of a kind, incorporating vintage and ancient beads collected from her travels. With a love for geology and contrast, she blends these rare finds with gemstones, curating a glossary of stones rich in history and meaning.
Drawn to both the energy of the city and the tranquility of the sea, she now calls New York City home while ensuring she visits a beach somewhere in the world each year. Inspired by ancient cultures, diverse artistic mediums, and her travels, Saadia continues to craft jewelry that tells a story—pieces that connect past and present, carrying echoes of history in every design.
